How do you sneak behind the curtains of Time? With actress and activist Myra Sands as our guide, we won’t treat Time as a sensible straight line, but as a jumble-sale attic where you might fish out a dinosaur, a dusty trinket, or the occasional joke.
Our wander takes us through three locations: Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, Horniman Museum, and Horniman Gardens.
Back in the mid-19th century, artist Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins built the world’s first dinosaur sculptures. They once lorded over Hyde Park and later settled into the leafy wilds of Crystal Palace. These stone giants will open our journey and set the scale for what follows.
At the Horniman, artifacts perch like tidy pins on history’s official timeline. We’ll take a look, then tip that map sideways and sketch our own, adding moments and images we find vital… or delightfully trivial.
And finally, outside the museum, Myra will attempt something bold: a performance that dares to embody… Time itself. You’re welcome to step in — to interrupt, redirect, or even hold the Time in your hands.
